I love these dresses for a wedding, a second dress to change into, a fabulous rehearsal dinner dress, an encore wedding (second wedding). Mindy Weiss says: "I’m feeling like 2011 will be a touch out of the box". Thinking modern elegance but then right when you think “that’s it” BAM the personality starts pouring out! It might be through the fashion or the flowers or even unique fabrics for the tablecloths..but it will be there. Lighting is going to be key because that is where the color will come in…a combo of natural colors (cremes, taupe’s, silvers, golds) in the linens and flowers and then a splash of colors on the walls. Blues and rose and lavenders will saturate the room. Love it...Love it...Love it!!

NFT maps for out of town guests
Around Town
I walk around the city and feel like a New Yorker. I love New York even if I was so overwhelmed by the city that I constantly got lost. I ran across a "Not For Tourists Guide to New York City!" What a great thing to give all of your out of town guests. They can even personalize them with your names and wedding date!
They can also have custom maps made to show your guests your favorite site and spots. They can also help you create an insert, where you can personally greet all of your out-of-town guests.Currently the guides are only available in English, but the maps and inserts can be translated to the language of your choice!
No worries, they have them for most major U.S. cities. Interested in the idea, but maybe need something a little smaller? What about these pocket maps? Even I love to carry something like this around! checkout website!

Inspiration of the Week:Unique Centerpieces
This week’s inspiration {of the week} ideas focuses on unique centerpieces…each post will focus on different inspiring ideas to make tables more eye-catching and so not passe.
Today: Candle Centerpieces
Will you light my candle? Okay, I am not Mimi but I love the musical Rent, what can I say…
I love how candles add a romantic touch to evening receptions…or otherwise dark reception spaces.
I like this paper lantern and candle centerpiece from Every Day with Rachael Ray for a laid back shower or a less formal wedding..

Vintage Rustic Wedding Floral + Decor
The inspiration this week focuses around a Vintage Rustic affair.
I like the Vintage Rustic aesthetic because to me, it romanticizes normal rustic decor…giving it a boost of loveliness for a wedding. Checkout centerpiece + decor ideas + inspiration below.
- looking for a centerpiece but not keen on traditional favors? The idea is not new but is a lovely one: use mini potted plants + min floral arrangements for place cards and/or favors. When grouped together, they can make a cute little centerpiece.
- for a more rustic ring bearer pillow, see this one from Luckey U.
- to fill that space if you are going light on the flowers, look into Lanterns like those below from Pottery Barn or even mini lanterns + mini centerpieces

We can never have enough shoes......
It is said that a woman can never have too many shoes, and most of us would agree!
Our closets are filled with footwear of all kinds, from sexy stilettos and cute ballet flats to cosy winter boots and comfortable old running shoes.
We never seem to find it very hard to find a gorgeous new pair of shoes... until it comes to looking for shoes for our wedding day. Then it gets a little more difficult!
Wedding shoes not only have to fit and make our feet look gorgeous, but they have to go with the dress, be comfortable enough to wear all day and be in theme with the wedding location and season. Nowadays most brides are also looking for shoes they can wear again. So how to choose? Here are a few of the hottest trends around.
Let the shoe shopping begin!!!!!!

Love this idea I just had to share.....
Wedding Time Capsule
Create a time capsule and give each guest a piece of paper that read, "Write a message to "bride and Groom" to be read on "....(date)", their 10 year wedding anniversary." We also have a part at the bottom where people could make predictions about what their lives will be like in ten years: how many kids we will have, where we will be living, etc. This is so sweet!
