When you have it all....pass it on...!!

You may not know it, but when the last guest has left and everyone's wished you well, the empty room is actually a treasure trove of goods that can be reused, recycled, repurposed and re-gifted. There's more than just the arrangements of flowers that can brighten someone's day or leftover food dropped at a homeless shelter. Your wedding has more shelf life than just the five-hour celebration–and with a little extra planning and a few phone calls here and there–you can make a difference in the life of someone less fortunate.

No one expects you to be running around saving the planet on your wedding day. A call to your local chamber of commerce will point you in the right direction, with contact names and telephone numbers to hundreds of small organizations helping people better their lives right in your neighborhood. You may get lucky and find a single organization that will facilitate and coordinate on your behalf–or you may need to do it the old-fashioned way by asking the florist to deliver the flowers, the caterer to bring food to a shelter, and the waiters to grab a bag and lend a hand by separating glass, aluminum, and plastic for recycling or just ask your Planner to organize it all for you!

It's true what they say–if you can touch the life of just one person, you've made the world a better place one soul at a time. And what better day to start than on your wedding day!!!!
